Grateful for Life

I am grateful for Liberia and Africa.
For my furry, fat dog, Ember,
and my sweet brown dog, Everest.

I am grateful for the Kelp Forest whose kelp protects endangered sea creatures.

For Mom, Dad, Kirin, Gramma, Pop Pop and Lala
who always love, encourage, and support me.

I am grateful for football, basketball, and marine biology,
and the inspiring song “Hard Times” by Tom Morello.

For my Grandma’s delicious Jollof Rice and my Mom’s rich pumpkin pie.
Most of all, I am grateful as can be when our families gather to celebrate with each other.
