How You Are Unique

This is a poem that tells everyone that they are unique and they never have to doubt it.
I like pancakes, but my friend does too
We also have the same favorite color, blue
I said, "I love to play soccer because I like to run"
"Me too", said another friend, "running is fun"
I love dogs. I think they're so cute
And my teacher does as well (she puts hers in a suit)
I like math, it’s my favorite subject
But it's the same with the other guy who gets everything correct
Pasta is my favorite food, it's just so great
My best friend agreed with me, he can totally relate
I wear glasses because I have bad eyesight
The guy next to me agreed, “They help me see better at night"
I go to my parents and say "What do I do"
“Why is everybody the same, I have no clue"
My mom turns to me and says, "Why are you sad?"
She’s acknowledging my feelings, which makes me feel glad
I say, "Everyone seems the same how am I unique?”
My mom says "Oh honey", and she said she starts to speak
“Some people use crutches or need to go in a wheelchair,
And blond, black, and red are all also different colors of hair”
She said “Others use sign language because they can’t hear
And others hear fine but their speaking is unclear”
“My point is everyone’s unique, I hope that gets through"
"And you are special cause you will always be YOU"

spring
Delicate petals and soft flowers
Are cozy seats for bugs
Bees eat the delicious nectar
off the flowers.
Love these lines. These lines so aptly describes the nature during spring time❤️❤️

Nora touched all my senses with the sun, the flowers with the delightful smells, the cozy soft petals, the thunder! Very well written and takes the reader to the beautiful setting created by the poem.

Wonders of Nature
I can imagine the scene with the animals playing by the creek.
Amazing how she talks about saying goodbye to childhood being a child herself! Time does go by fast.

magnificant friendship
It is so true and from the heart. Friendship is like a seed!

magnificant friendship
I love this poem because by the end, I realize that she’s making a subtle but powerful connection between the animals she writes about and childhood. I first visualize animals playing but by the end I visualize children instead. It brings nostalgia to the reader and is very powerful!

magnificant friendship
What a powerful and perfect simile to compare friendship to a seed! Both are powerful and life affirming, and I love how the author uses the word “deep” both literally for a seed, and metaphorically for friendship. Very honest and powerful!

spring
A beautiful poem, because it transports the reader to that essence of spring, that we all know and love. I can see and smell all the sites. My favorite part is how she compares the petals of flowers to being cozy seats for bugs. Wonderful imagery and use of metaphors.
